Spring 2018 Counseling Update
Spring is very much underway in Williston, Vermont. I hear rumblings of families getting ready to go camping in the Green Mountains, going out on Lake Champlain, and enjoying the much-needed sunshine on our longer days. I have been busy in my little office tucked away at the Vermont Counseling and Wellness. I wanted to take a moment and update the community about my counseling practice.
Counseling Services & Supporting Vermont Families
I have been in Williston for over a year now supporting women and teen girls. Since the beginning of my practice I have offered individual and family counseling. I have always specialized in supporting women with anxiety, depression and perinatal and postpartum needs, however, I recently became actively involved with Postpartum Support International’s Vermont Chapter. I have begun volunteering as a state coordinator and I am on the Board of Directors for the state. I hope to continue to bring awareness to maternal mental health and continue support families as they grow.
2018 Counseling Supports Available to the Community:
- Online Counseling…. And yes, most major insurances cover this!
- New Moms Support & Play Group
- Evening & Non-traditional appointment times
- Now In Network with MVP! Along with BCBS, Cigna, Medicaid, Optum, and Beacon
Being in Williston and counseling women, teen girls, and families have offered me the opportunity to continue to grow professionally. I have recently completed Postpartum Support International’s Perinatal Mood Disorders Certificate training and will be headed out to Houston, Texas in July for Postpartum Support Internationals annual conference. I hope to bring back loads of information and new counseling techniques to the Chittenden county community.
Do you need a therapist?
Please feel free to reach out to me and we can see if we are a good fit. Sometimes, it is best to send me an email to schedule sessions as it takes me up to 24 hours to return a phone. And I will often email back later in the evening when I would not be wanting to call you.
